Groundbreaking Ceremony Officially Held for Jiangsu Lumispot Semiconductor Laser Devices & Optoelectronic Components Industrial Base

On May 27, the groundbreaking ceremony of Jiangsu Lumispot Technology Co., Ltd.’s industrial base project for semiconductor laser devices and optoelectronic components was grandly launched in Xishan Economic & Technological Development Zone. Gu Wenhao, Secretary of Xishan District Party Committee and District Mayor of Xishan District People’s Government; Qian Bin, Member of the Standing Committee of Xishan District Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Xishan Economic & Technological Development Zone; Xu Hanming, Member of the Standing Committee of Xishan District Party Committee and Executive Deputy District Chief of Xishan District People’s Government; Cai Zhen, Chairman of Lumispot, together with the corporate management team, partners and employee representatives, attended the ceremony to witness this milestone moment.

The groundbreaking ceremony kicked off at 08:28. Chairman Cai Zhen delivered the opening speech first. On behalf of Jiangsu Lumispot, he extended a warm welcome to all leaders and guests present at the site, expressed sincere gratitude to the Xishan District Party Committee, District Government, Development Zone Management Committee and all sectors of society for their long-term care and support for the enterprise’s growth, and paid high tribute to all employees and partners who have made unremitting efforts to push forward the project.

The new industrial base marks a crucial step for Lumispot to deepen its full industrial chain layout ranging from core devices and modules to system solutions. Centering on core products, Lumispot will further strengthen independent R&D, overcome technical bottlenecks and upgrade intelligent manufacturing capacity. It will facilitate the independent and controllable development of the laser industrial chain and contribute to the high-quality growth of regional advanced manufacturing industry.

Subsequently, Qian Bin delivered a speech. He extended warm congratulations on the launch of the project and fully recognized Lumispot’s fruitful achievements rooted in Xishan and dedicated to the optoelectronic industry. He stated that the Development Zone would keep optimizing the business environment to provide solid support for project construction and corporate development, and spare no effort to accelerate the completion, production and economic benefits of the project at an early date.

Founded in December 2017, Jiangsu Lumispot Technology Co., Ltd. operates three subsidiaries: Wuxi Lumispot Laser Technology Co., Ltd. (Wuxi subsidiary), Jiangsu Lumispot Research Co., Ltd. (Taizhou subsidiary) and Beijing Lumispot Laser Technology Co., Ltd. (Beijing subsidiary). It is certified as a national-level Specialized, Refined, Unique and Innovative Little Giant enterprise.

Focusing on segmented laser tracks, owning a large number of core patents and filling multiple industrial gaps, Lumispot serves as a key backbone for supplementing and strengthening the domestic laser industrial chain. Starting its business in Wuxi, the company has devoted nearly a decade to semiconductor laser R&D and production. At present, it has completed industrial layout in Taizhou, Beijing, Xi’an, Shenzhen and other cities, with total assets exceeding 540 million RMB and annual sales revenue of nearly 300 million RMB. Its products are exported to more than 30 countries and regions worldwide including the United States, Germany and India.
